The three churches in Chinnor work together to hold united services at key points in the year. Lent groups also take place between the churches, and there is a healthy relationship amongst the leadership of the churches. United Services are held on the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, Christian Aid Week, the August Bank Holiday, and Rememberance Sunday. Cross Walk We also carry a cross up to the clearing overlooking Chinnor on Good Friday, with readings and simple songs enroute. The morning starts at 7am at St Andrew's Church lychgate, and culminates in sharing bacon butties at the Congregational Church. Details of the next event can be found on our calendar Pulse Holiday Club We hold a holiday club for 1 week in August for 5 to 11 year olds. It is held at a local school and over 80 children make it an exciting place to be. It is run entirely by volunteers from the 3 churches. Each day there are activities, games, songs and drama... and a small snack for the hungry! It is a good opportunity for a rest while they play in a safe and fun environment. |
