Chinnor Congregational Church

"To become 100% committed followers of Christ."

Churches United

The three churches in Chinnor work together to hold united services at key points in the year. Lent groups also take place between the churches, and there is a healthy relationship amongst the leadership of the churches who swap pulpits twice a year. United Services are as follows:

  • Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (January)
  • Christian Aid Week (May)
  • Holiday Club Service at the Marquee (August Bank Holiday Sunday)
  • Remembrance Sunday (November)

Cross Walk

We also carry a cross up to the clearing overlooking Chinnor on Good Friday, with readings and simple songs en-route. The morning starts at 8am at St Andrew's Church lychgate, and culminates in sharing bacon butties at the Congregational Church.

Pulse Holiday Club

We hold a holiday club for 3 days in August for 5 to 11 year olds. It is held in the Marquee and 100 children make it an exciting place to be. It is run entirely by volunteers from the 3 churches. Each day there are activities, games, songs and drama... and a small snack for the hungry! It is a good opportunity for parents to take a break while the children can play and learn in a safe and fun environment.
